We welcome you to tryout for Rams Juniors! Since we utilize Southeast Polk School District facilities, we are required to have only SEP School District kids on our teams.
Simply put, we'd love to see more kids playing volleyball. We encourage kids to tryout for clubs across the metro and at all different skill levels including National, Regional and Club.
Allowing athletes to have the opportunity to play volleyball is an awesome thing! Here are some things to help you learn more about how the club season works.
01/35
We'd love to have your SEP District athlete play for Rams Juniors, but we also encourage them to try out at other clubs in the area. Before committing to a team, players can tryout at an unlimited number of clubs so that they can decide what's best for them.
Most clubs will have some way to register for tryouts online. For example, you will register through the RamMall for Rams Juniors.
Come to tryouts ready to play! That means dressed in athletic apparel/shoes and prepared with a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Please note that since we utilize SEP District facilities, we are limited to only SEP district players.
Coaches will typically tell the players before they leave the tryout when they can expect to receive a phone call if they made a team. If your athlete did not make a team, they will not receive a phone call.
Once your player has accepted her offer to play on a team, the coach will give you a "laundry list" of things to do before the season starts (i.e. renew membership, fill out medical form, pay club fees, pick jersey numbers, figure out availability for practice times and tournaments etc.)
At the meeting, you will get a chance to officially meet your coach and the other players on your team. Fundraiser information is given out, parent volunteers are decided, jersey sizes and numbers are finalized etc.
